It looked really horrible when I just glanced at OR on monday, and the conversions on GW website are horrendous
@ Gerry: I hope you haven't actually stuck your hand down a minotaur's muscle folds! Who knows how deep they are.

Ha ha! No, no Minotaur cow tipping for me
You're not easily swayed by popular opinion Stevo, that's a great quality to have. Uhm...this picture...is this a -real- person? (Serious question, this is not an enhanced photo? Maybe I take back about the minotaurs being unrealistically muscled...!)

I believe it is a real person
Edit: I think minotaurs will beat you down if you try to tip them!

thank you for the compliment Gerry. The vampires did take a bit of work. By the looks of it though, your tomb kings will be looking great as well.

Baking soda makes fluffy snow. Too fluffy in fact. I'm going to try a mix of snow flock which is flat and baking soda.

Hi all! I got 16 Tomb King skeletons and special character High Queen Khalida Neferfer done. I also have 16 skellies built and primed.
Tsai and I had a great discussion about what color mummies should be. His insights were fascinating, that 'the illusion of reality requires thought and planning' even though in real life things can appear to be nonsensical sometimes. In other words, the illusion of reality does not require faithfulness to reality, but rather to people's expectations (with some exceptions). His thoughts about what color Khalida should be were amazingly similar to what I saw on the net at the GW USA site, the 'eavy Metal painted one. Great minds think alike! However, I myself do not have a great mind, ha ha, and I willfully decided on green dyed bandages and ruby or red inlays on the gorget and helm. I kind of like it, it's different, if not well executed. Well, another night of painting for me, thankfully the latest 'League of Extraordinary Geeks' has gone up on their website ![]() --- Gerry |

Wow! Nice job on the High Queen there, Gerry! I like the oxidizing on the bronze armour. You painting has really improved, this one is much nicer than your previous painting of this mini. (I really should finish my Bretonnian Vampire counts army now...)

Thank you John Ravenwood, I wish I could say I improved, but you know green is one of the easiest colors to paint
Much easier than dry brushing white bandages on black primer. I covered up her bosom with some gold paint today, and am putting another 16 skellies together. Now I have 20 completed archers and 28 hand weapon and shield that need painting on Games Day. I hope I have 1000 pts by April 5... Hope everyone's armies are progressing according to plans ![]() Gerry |
